    Studying quantum features of quantum gases with a temperature of tens or hundreds of nanoKelvin becomes attractive, due to quantum statistics and tunability of interactions. We realize a rubidium Bose-Einsten-condesate (BEC) in a spherical optical dipole trap with a temperature of less than 80 nK. On this special system, we will explore exotic quantum states in ultracold atoms with the spin-orbital-angular-momentum (SOAM) coupling using Laguerre-Gaussian laser beams. We also want to observe quantum behaviors under the spherical symmetry.
